The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe 0-5 Head Start Program has been in existence since 1965 the program is free for low income families and services all children ages 0-5 years who reside on the Standing Rock Sioux Indian Reservation boundaries and Mobridge South Dakota is included in service area. The program is funded for 332 children and 85 staff members. Standing Rock Sioux Tribe is located i S states of South Dakota and North Dakota.
Head Start promotes school readiness of children under 5 from low-income families through education, health, social, emotional and other services.
Education Services at Early Head Start and Head Start Centers: The program provides Infant, Toddler , Two's and Pre-School Creative Curriculum.
Miss Indian World Visits Early Head Start
Danielle Finn visited Early Head Start Center in June 2016 she was a former college student volunteer at the EHS center it was a great honor to have her come back and visit the program and Early Head Start Center in Fort Yates ND. She was presented with a star quilt donated by the management staff and a certificate of appreciation for her work with Native American children.
