 Welcome to the 0-5 Head Start Program website!

Welcome Back all center staff!   

First Day of School is September 13th, 2010.

The centers are open M-F 8:00 -4:30 pm with the exception of Monday August 30th, 2010, staff members will be available to accept and assist in completing enrollment packets. 

 

 

2010-2011 Recruitment and Enrollment is ongoing acceptance letters to be mailed August 30th, 2010. 

The program currently has the following vacant positions: (1) Home-Visitor (1) Wakpala Busdriver, (2) Teacher Aides Discovery Center (1) EHS Family Service Worker these  positions are currently closed awaiting qualification process from Human Resources Department. (1) Assistant Cook Discovery currently being advertised. If you are interested or have any questions please contact John Montclaire SRST Human Resources Manager at 854-8518.     

In-service and orientation for all staff will be August 30th-September 3rd, 2010. 

I will be on travel status from August 23-27, 2010 along with the management staff we will be attending the Northwest Indian Head Start Conference in Rapid City SD.   

Tribal Consultation will be held on Friday August 27th, 2010 8:00-4:30 pm at the Ramkota Hotel in Rapid City, SD this will give tribal grantees an opportunity to meet and discuss collaboration efforts with Yvette Sanchez Director Office of Head Start Washington DC. 

I would like to personally thank all staff, parents, guardians, SRST community and Dennis Painte for a successful 2010 Health Fair held on August 17-19th, 2010 AJ Agard Building in Fort Yates ND. Edie and Dennis did an excellent job in coordinating this event.
